Detainee Custody Officer (DCO) – London Heathrow Holding Rooms
£25509.12 per annum
42 hours per week
24-hour service, 365 days a year.
Rolling Shift pattern covering both days and nights.

Your new role as a DCO will be to support immigration detainees during their stay at Holding Rooms across London Heathrow Airport.
You'll spend time maintaining high standards of security and safety and promoting the welfare and decency of detainees in your care.
Your working time will require you to be fully flexible to cover both days shifts with varying start and finish times and nights shifts.
No specific role experience or qualifications are required to be a DCO as full training and supported development are given. Experience of dealing sensitively with a wide variety of people who have been agitated, confused or angry would be an advantage.
You’ll begin your Care & Custody career completing a 6-week initial training course (ITC) in Heathrow, with 7 days in Oxfordshire, continuing your development over the next 12 months with on the job mentoring and assessments to gain our accredited Level 3 apprenticeship in Detention and Custody.
