Position: Static Security Guard Senior Guard
Nationality: Third Country National
Security Clearance: Background check
Role
The Static Security Guard Senior Guard (SSGSG) is responsible for the assisting the SSGC in
managing the static security guard force, including:
1. command and control of static security team
2. ensuring all SOPs and emergency procedures are adhered to and
3. ensuring all static security teams maintain a high standard of training,
dress and bearing in the performance of their duties.
Skills and Experience
The SSGSS must have:
a) at least two (2) years experience operating in high risk environments
b) previous military or law enforcement experience with an excellent
record of conduct. Must not have a criminal record and must not have
been dishonourably discharged from a service or convicted under the
Defence Force Disciplinary Act (1982) or employment
c) sound knowledge and skill sets regarding the planning and conduct of
base security operations including managing a static guarding team in a
high threat environment
d) excellent communication skills
g) excellent leadership skills and
h) English language skills (English language level (ELL) – Beginner).
Desirable
a) literacy in the language commonly used to relay instructions by SSO,
SL, TL
b) previous experience working in a diplomatic environment
c) previous in-country experience in a similar capacity and
d) a working knowledge of the local language.
