AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL STATIC SECURITY OFFICER/GUARD FORCE COMMANDER - KABUL

JOB DETAILS

We are seeking suitably qualified, experienced Australian candidates to be considered for addition to our Standby List for forthcoming opportunities 

Must have NV1 Security Clearance

Responsibilities  

  • Command, control and administration of on-site static security guard forces (SSG)
  • Manage work schedules for interpreters, EDD teams and female screener as well as shift procedures for the SSG. 
  • Oversee SSG accommodation and welfare, and supervise training
  • Coordinate with all relevant parties for receiving Australian Embassy visitors
  • Assist PM and RSO in the event of emergency or incident in the compound
  • Deploy SSG Incident Response Team if required 
  • Liaison as required

Essential requirements 

  • Military or law enforcement service -  with an excellent record of conduct. 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience operating in high risk environments
  • Experience in planning and management of base security operations and a static guard force in a high threat environment
  • Able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills
  • Able to communicate effectively between multiple levels of management (internal and external)
  • Clean criminal record

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in Afghanistan in a similar capacity 
  • Previous experience in a diplomatic environment 
  • Knowledge of local languages.
