Area Manager OSE

Salary - £55,000

Hours - Monday-Friday

Overall Purpose :

  • Develop a culture within OSE where people are respected and valued, treated with dignity, developed and recognised so that a safe, inclusive and forward looking environment is created and maintained.

  • Lead by example and champion our commitment to Health and Safety, LiveSafe initiative and continuous improvement within OSE.

  • Provide effective and visible leadership, guidance, support and coaching to the wider team and create a culture where people are respected and valued and fully committed to delivering an excellent service.

  • Manage delivery of the Escorting Services contract (specifically but not limited to OSE), ensuring consistent service delivery in line with all contractual, company & financial parameters, including all relevant Home Office standards.

  • To take the lead on performance and service delivery in addition to joint operational management of the OSE group.

Main duties

  • Motivate, encourage and coach the team to ensure company values and vision, policies and procedures and contractual standards are met at all times.
  • Lead on the overall performance and service delivery aspects of OSE
  • Support the operational day to day management of the OSE team.
  • Liaise with the Data Analytics team to review, analyse and report on relevant OSE data in order to drive up performance, improve operational efficiency and minimise service credits.
  • Continuously review contractual and operational performance , focus on achievable and realistic outcomes which incrementally improve the way we operate and support expected contractual outcomes.
  • Oversee the resourcing of OSE workforce ensuring agreed levels of resources are available when required.
  • Develop suitable systems and processes to ensure the consistent, fair and transparent allocation of employee resources within OSE. Hours worked should be distributed according to a clearly defined set of metrics and be fully auditable.
  • Liaise with the Home Office & relevant stakeholders to ensure best value is achieved in relation to scheduled & charter flights whilst meeting the needs and welfare of employees and detainess.
  • Ensure all employee casework is properly recorded, tracked and monitored. Casework is responded to and completed in a timely manner in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Work in partnership with our Customer to resolve issues and ensure the reputation of the company and smooth running of the contract.
  • Positively raise the profile of OSE and contribute to the employee recognition scheme to ensure good work is properly acknowledged and rewarded.
  • Manage all financial and commercial aspects of OSE, including developing and agreeing budgets and expenditure to ensure financial parameters and company targets are met.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience at a senior managerial level within a multi site custodial environment is essential.

  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;

  • Ensure compliance with information security procedures in all activities;
  • Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
  • Report actual and suspected security incidents;
